Obituary
Judy McElhaney, formerly of Wilsonville, passed away at the Monuments Rehabilitation Care Center in Scottsbluff, NE on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. She was born in Frederic, WI on June 24, 1946, to Jack and Josephine (Murgaw) Hochstetler. Judy was wed to Danny McElhaney in February of 1977. He preceded her in death May 27, 2014.
The couple lived in Wilsonville from 1987 until 2014. Judy lived in Cambridge until 2019 when she moved to Sidney to be close to family. She enjoyed traveling with daughter-in-law, Carolyn, to many states from Texas to Washington. She spent her days playing cards and watching her favorite game shows. The family loved it when she made her “family famous” green Chili. Judy was a huge Elvis fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny; parents, Jack and Josephine; brothers: Wallace, Jerry, Theodore, Tracy, and Randy Hochstetler; sisters-in-law, Judy Hochstetler, Pat Hochstetler.
Judy is survived by two sons, Virgil (Carolyn) McElhaney of Sidney, NE, Danny (Colleen) McElhaney of Denver, CO; four grandchildren: Alexis, Seth, Daniel and Josh; brother, Sidney Hochstetler of Thornton, CO.
