Donna F (Trosper) Wier

Donna F. Wier age 94, passed away at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook on December 20, 2020.  She was born in Furnas County near Cambridge on November 27, 1926 to Orva B. and Josephine (Hietmann) Trosper.  Donna was united in marriage to George Wier in Norton, KS on July 6, 1946.  George preceded her in death on May 9, 1988.

Donna was a lifelong resident of Cambridge.  She was a member of the Eagles Lodge of McCook and the Congregational Church of Cambridge.  She enjoyed dancing, going to many dances with her companion Ernie Purvis.  She collected Shirley Temple dolls and enjoyed china and oil painting.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; Orva and Josephine; husband: George; son: Stanley; siblings: Gary Trosper; Mildred and (Roy) Farr; Geneva Fuller; Fred and (Nellie Jean) Trosper; Roberta Mengus; brother-in-law: Ray Boyer; sister-in-law: Donna Trosper; companion for 20 years: Ernie Purvis. 

Donna is survived by her daughter-in-law Kathy (Dale) Long of Holbrook, NE; her four grandchildren: Andy (Melanie) Wier of McCook, NE; Julie Wier of Lincoln, NE; Becky Wier of Cambridge, NE; Marie (Mike) Troyer of Milford, NE; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; Siblings: Wren (Luella) Trosper of Arapahoe; Ardis Lorimore of McCook; Joyce Boyer of Smith Center, KS; Dixie (Swede) Swanson of Curtis, NE.
