Obituary

Delores “Dolly” M Sauers age 90 of Indianola, NE passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on February 16, 2021.  She was born on August 10, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, to William and Mae (Howell) Morrow.  Dolly grew up in the Pittsburgh are graduating high school from Stowe High School in 1947. 

On December 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to John Joseph Sauers in Winchester, VA.  John preceded her in death on September 2, 2002.  To this union 4 children were born: John, Randy, Janet and Linda. The couple made their home in Pittsburg. 

Dolly worked as a Human Resource Manager for IKEA and later as a Pharmacy Technician when she moved to Florida.  Dolly , John and the family visited all 48 of the Continental United States, driving and camping along the way.  She and John traveled to Alaska. Enjoyed their travel time.  Dolly enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and spending time at the lake with her family. Dolly was a “HUGE” Pittsburgh Steeler Football fan.  In years past she enjoyed bowling and ball room dancing.  In 1990 the couple semi-retired moved to Florida lived there till 2016 when she moved to Indianola.  Dolly loved her dogs: Cooper, Gretchen and Joy.  Dolly always found the good in everyone and everything. 

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents: William and Mae; husband: John; 3 brothers: William, Jr, Robert, and Edward. 

Dolly is survived by her four children: John (Barbara) Sauers of Northlake, TX; Randy Sauers of Pittsburgh, PA; Janet "Jan” (Chris) Riley of Indianola; Linda Sauers of Goveland, FL; 1 granddaughter: Sarah (Brad) Durpek; 2 great grandchildren: Reagan and Brady Durspek. 

In honoring with Dolly’s request, the family has chosen cremation and services will be held at a future date.  Memorials may be left in Dolly’s name to the TriValley Health System.  Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenourfh.com.  Lockenour-Jones Mortuary entrusted with arrangements.
