BEVERLY ANN TETER - Beverly Ann Teter was born May 10, 1953 to Verlon and Darlene (Janssen) Huffman in Red Cloud, Nebraska. Beverly attended and graduated school from McAlester High School in McAlester, Oklahoma. After high school, Beverly attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She met and married James ‘Jim’ Teter in Tulsa, OK., on June 19, 1976. They were married for 47 years.
Beverly and Jim enjoyed spending time together, so much so, that they went on 14 cruises: to Alaska, Hawaii, New England, and even a 40-day cruise from Vancouver, Canada to New Zealand. When they weren’t cruising, Beverly worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, crocheting, and sewing. She was happiest when spending time with their family.
Beverly passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family. She was 70 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verlon and Darlene; parents in-law, Delbert and Cora Teter; and sister-in-law, Joy Teter.
Beverly is survived by her husband, James Teter of Bartley; daughters, Amanda Teter of Watertown, South Dakota and Tiffany Teter of Columbus, Nebraska; son, Nicholas (Laura) Teter of Valley Center, Kansas; grandchildren, Koralyn Teter and Braely Teter; brother, Harry (Diane) Huffman of Pilot Point, Texas; sisters-in-law, Alice Teter of Madison, Wisconsin, Marty Teter of Cambridge, Nebraska, and Lois (David) Vannier of Saratoga, California; brother-in-law, Herb Teter of Laramie, Wyoming; as well as her three nieces, two nephews, extended family and friends.
The family has chosen cremation with private family services at a later date, per Beverly’s request. Friends may send condolences and remembrances to lockenour.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lockenour-Jones Mortuary, Cambridge. Memorials may be left to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
