Jennifer L. Perks age 36 of Bartley, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017.  She was born in Estes Park, Colorado on July 27, 1981 to Matthew R and Donna M (Whaley) Moeller.   Jennifer graduated High School in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. While in high school Jennifer was on the swim team. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Casper Community College in Casper, Wyoming and was pursuing her bachelors Degree in Education from Chadron State College.

Jennifer grew up in and around many of the National Parks: Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Rocky Mountain being her favorites. She enjoyed hiking and spending time in nature.  On June 21, 2008, she was united in marriage to Thomas Perks at the Harry Strunk Lake. The couple made their home in Cambridge until recently when they bought a home in Bartley.

Jennifer had been employed at the Cambridge Super Market, but love of children drew her to the Cambridge School where she was a para-educator. Jennifer was instrumental showing the need and in establishing the after-school program and was named the director of the program for Cambridge Public Schools. Jennifer also volunteered to help teachers after she got off work from the cafeteria.

She could often be seen at many of the events at Cambridge schools whether it be music, academic or sports.  She enjoyed sprint car racing or any dirt track event.  She and Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. During the summer months, Jennifer taught private swim lessons at the Cambridge Public Pool and also taught at the Ed Thomas YMCA in McCook.  She would attend craft shows getting ideas for projects for her students.   Jennifer could often be seen walking her dog "Camo",  a mixed Blue Heeler and Aussie.  Jennifer always put the needs  of others before her own. After death she was a tissue donor to NORS (Nebraska Organ Recovery Services).  She will always be remembered for her kindness, her love of children, and her infectious smile.
